Discover the power and pitfalls of AI as you navigate through challenging scenarios, hands-on activities and creative problem-solving. In this workshop, you will take on the role of the AI engineer behind ArtBot, an AI agent on a mission to recover stolen artefacts!
Can ArtBot recognize a Chinese sculpture? What happens when certain art forms are left out of its training? Can a French-speaking-participant train the detective? What happens with the labels when the engineer is unable to categorise?
Discover how machine learning algorithms work and train a digital detective to recognize various artworks. You will need to constantly question the choices they make in designing ArtBot’s training data as there may be unexpected consequences! We will reveal how AI systems can perpetuate biases and brainstorm innovative solutions to make them more inclusive.
This workshop isn’t just about understanding technology – it’s about shaping its future. You will have the chance to reflect and redesign game elements, create new narratives, and even generate their own AI models with JEDI principles in mind.
Whether you are a curious kid, a tech-savvy teen, or an adult eager to learn, this workshop offers something for everyone.
This will be an adventure that combines cutting-edge technology with important social values.
Let’s build a JEDI-AID kit for ArtBot as well as a future where AI works for all!
