Bird Ringing

Bird ringing is a harmless research technique that provides valuable data to help us understand bird migration, longevity, population sizes, and more. The session will begin at 8 AM, offering a unique opportunity to see birds up close as they are being ringed. Participants will also have the chance to ask questions to our licensed bird ringers in the comments. In Malta, bird ringing is carried exclusively by the BirdLife Malta Ringing Scheme, the only recognized EURING partner in the country. Join our livestream to learn more about this fascinating field of research that BirdLife Malta has been engaged in since 1965 and spend your morning in an educational and engaging way.
