Brainstorm: Mapping Brain Function

To discover our brain activity through mathematical knowledge, artist Joseph Herrera (Spain) in collaboration with Dr Claude Bajada (University of Malta) and the BOB lab, will show through an interactive artwork how experts are looking to mathematically describe our brain as a numerical index by looking for links between different parts of our brain to form an activity map.

How the brain works or which zones relate to a specific human movement or activity is an abstract topic; and not a lot is known about it.

The artwork they will produce out of this experience will be interactive, and if you attend this event you will be able to explore it by touching it, playing with the tiles on it, changing its pieces, and learning about the research behind the artwork from these interactions.
