The AquaBioTech Group undertakes a variety of aquaculture, fisheries and aquatic environmental projects through its regional offices and selected partners throughout the world. The vast majority of the company’s work is related to the marine or aquatic environment, encompassing aquaculture developments, market research/intelligence, through to project feasibility assessments, finance acquisition, project management, technology sourcing, and technical support and training.

The ROV, an underwater remotely operated vehicle, is specifically engineered for offshore underwater surveying. The ROV is used for applications where diving by humans is either impractical or dangerous, such as work that requires diving in deep waters or investigations of submerged hazards. ROVs carry equipment such as video cameras, lights, robotic arms or sediment samplers to execute work under water. AquaBioTech Group’s ROV is depth rated to 305 metres and is fitted with strong thrusters to withstand currents as well as a 330° range-of-view camera. This camera system allows the user to see the footage in real time and to record videos to be analyzed after the survey. As it is battery powered, it can be deployed easily from any type of vessel or from shore.

AquaBioTech Group uses the ROV mainly for inspections of underwater infrastructure like aquaculture cages, mapping the seafloor, search and rescue and any other kind of underwater surveying. Additionally, it can be used in the fields of Archaeology, Recreation and Discovery, Aquaculture, Marine Biology, Oil, Gas, Offshore Energy, Shipping, Submerged Infrastructure, and more. All in all it helps us to safely explore and inspect the sea.
