Founded in 1992, Kunsill Nazzjonali taż-Żgħażagħ (KNŻ) is the national representative body for all Maltese youths of ages between 13 and 35. Since its inception, KNŻ has been a leading actor in Maltese civil society and strives to be a pro-active primary source of information, idea-generation and innovation both in Malta and Gozo. As a political body, is tasked with providing a forum of dialogue for young people on various national and international issues while bridging policy makers and various key actors in Malta’s political and social spheres to young people and their organisations. The council works to provide opportunities of local youth both locally and internationally.
KNŻ is made up of an Executive Board of 9 individuals and 6 directorates, who work voluntarily, to ensure that Maltese youths are represented and are given a primary role in various sectors of our society. Executive members are elected by the member organisations every two years, and these individuals commit to being your representatives both locally and internationally.
